Doc Pepe's Lab™ Barrel-Finished Negroni is made using London Dry Gin, Italian-style Sweet Vermouth, and Bitter Orange Liqueur, all made separately in-house before being blended together. Once the cocktail is mixed it is then transferred to ex-Bourbon barrels from Kentucky for a period of 3 to 6 months. The oak softens the initial heat, adds desirable vanilla and caramel notes which complement the Negroni perfectly, and gives it silky texture and complex finish. The cocktail is bottled at cask strength and is recommended to be stirred with ice and strained into a chilled glass, and garnished with a fresh orange peel. Each batch of this truly one-of-a-kind Negroni is crafted by hand on the Monterey Peninsula by cellar master Christian Pepe.
